We will provide two important parts of 0.16.0 update for Factorio download game. They are Optimizations and Modding.

Optimizations

Optimizations

  • Upgraded the performance of transporting belts in Factorio steam game about 5x times
  • Added transferring of the new entity in the update loop improving every update performance by 10%
  • Made better the item manipulation, around 4% effect on the whole activity
  • Improved the quality of the crafting machine, furnace/assembling, about 2% effect on their behavior
  • Also, increased the activity of the electric network transfer more than two times, approximately10%
  • Enhanced the smoke significantly, 2,5 % and more influence on large factories
  • Boosted the implementation while setting up rail blocks with multiple segments
  • Strengthened the accomplishment of the logistics provider and requester’s chests
  • Ameliorated the blueprint previews and the game startup time if a sufficiently powerful computer is found

Optimizations

Modding

  • The train pathfinding penalty values in the cool Factorio multiplayer game are in utility-constants in order to allow it to be visible and editable.
  • Fixed the storage tank without square collision box that couldn’t align to tiles in rotations in the right way
  • Fixed the belt-immunity gear so it can run on cars
